Service Projects

Every term our students participate in service projects which impact our community for Jesus Christ through acts of Christian service. These projects are designed to help our students become more missions centered and to demonstrate God’s love in a practical way.
This year our students will sing in a local nursing home and for the members of Southpoint Community Church (where we are housed). They have helped harvest vegetable for the “Gleaners” to be dried to make soup mix that is distributed locally and internationally for the needy. Non-perishable food items have been collected for distribution through the local Salvation Army Food Bank. The church gardens have been weeded thanks to help from our senior class members. We pack shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child and sponsor a child through Compassion Canada.
South Shore strives to demonstrate that there are ways to shine the light of Jesus in the world (or at least our little corner).
